Two Michelin stars for the modern and creative haute cuisine of Frédéric Morel, who combines Breton roots with North German influences – seasonally inspired, precisely executed and with outstanding sauces and stocks.

- Michelin Guide -

True luxury lies on the plate.

Nature is our muse.

Our cuisine grows from what nature gives us – wild and cultivated, rhythmic like the seasons. We cherish tradition without becoming stagnant, and combine it with curiosity and a spirit of experimentation.

Regional connections, seasonal depth and a respectful approach to our ingredients are the foundation of what ends up on your plate.

What complements the menu in the glass

Our beverage pairing is not an add-on, but an integral part of the composition.

We tell stories in the glass, too. Stories of terroir and craftsmanship, of depth and freshness. Each pairing is carefully chosen – tailored to nuances, contrasts, and transitions. For an experience that extends beyond the plate.

Culinary delights with head, heart & stomach

Instead of an à la carte menu, we serve a set menu that focuses entirely on the seasons and local produce. Choose between four courses (Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays – except on public holidays, advance booking required) as well as six, seven, or eight courses.

A new menu is created every first Wednesday of the month - always with the same idea: to get the best out of every product.

Since April 2023, just under three and a half years after opening, we have been awarded two of the coveted Michelin stars. One of only three in North Rhine-Westphalia! What an honor.

The heart of the artichoke

We are a first-generation family business – and we believe that true hospitality arises from attitude, curiosity and working together.

Our cuisine is shaped by nature. By what is currently growing, being produced, and available. And by influences from Westphalia, Brittany, and La Réunion.

Behind all this is a team that lives this attitude every day – and creates what our guests experience: special culinary experiences that last.

Maison Morel - our second restaurant

Besides the Cœur D'Artichaut, there is a second place, Maison Morel, that bears our signature.

The focus is on crêpes – both savory and sweet, made with wheat or buckwheat – accompanied by select wines, cider, and light meals. A place for a quick visit, a glass of wine a day, or relaxing hours on the quiet courtyard terrace.

Just a few steps away, yet with its own distinct character.
